Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral – Dec. 11 & 13

One of the favorite traditions of the Festival Singers in Kansas City is our annual “Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral” concert. This year the performances are Friday, December 11, at 8:00 PM, and Sunday, December 13, at 2:00 PM, in the nave of the magnificent Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. Our program features a stirring set of Appalachian carols set for chorus and hammer dulcimer, works of English composers Kenneth Leighton and John Rutter, Russian works by Chesnokov and Gretchaninov, and favorite carols like Hark the Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful. If you have joined us in the past you already know the profoundly beautiful night that awaits you. If you have never attended this concert, know that your heart will be filled with the joy and wonder of the season.
