The William Baker Festival Singers of Atlanta will hold their annual Fall Benefit Concert on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 7:30 pm. The performance will be at Northside Drive Baptist Church, located at 3100 Northside Drive NW in
Atlanta, GA.  A freewill offering will collected.

NYS season starts March 12!

We will be offering a partial season for the Northside Young Singers in Spring 2012. The first rehearsal will be Monday, March 12, presently scheduled at Acworth United Methodist Church.  Concert Choir will be 6:00-7:00.  Youth Chorale will be 7:15 to 8:45.  These rehearsals will extend through May.  If you are interested in participating in NYS please contact us info@FestivalSingers.org.

14th Annual Season Opening Concert

The 14th season of William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City includes our most diverse repertoire ever.  The concert on November 19th at 8:00 pm includes works as varied as Johannes Brahams: Schaffe in mir, Gott and selections from Morten Lauridsen: Les Chanson des Roses, along with works by Orlando Gibbons, Orlando di Lasso, Knut Nystedt, and Eric Whitacre.  The program also includes the beautiful new setting of Ubi caritas by Paul Mealor, heard at the Royal Wedding of William and Kate.  The concert concludes with thrilling spirituals and folk hymns in settings by K.Lee Scott, Alice Parker, James Miller and William Dawson.  Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and as always children under 12 years of age are free.  Tickets may be purchased at the door or online. A Festival of Hymns Benefit – Nov. 6

The William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City, along with Steve McDonald on the 33-rank Nordlie Pipe Organ, will perform A Festival of Hymns for the Feast of All Saints, as a benefit concert for the victims of the 2011 tornado in Reading, Kansas.  The concert will be held on Sunday Afternoon, 06 November 2011 at 2:00 PM, located at Faith Lutheran Church, 4805 West 67th Street (at Roe Avenue) in Prairie Village, Kansas.  ADMISSION FREE, free-will donations will be collected.  Selections performed will include Gibbons: HOSANNA TO THE SON OF DAVID; Bruckner: CHRISTUS FACTUS EST; Nystedt: O CRUX; Brahms: SCHAFFE IN MIR, GOTT; Lane: AMAZING GRACE; Scott: ON JORDAN’S BANKS;  Parker: HARK I HEAR; Miller: I WANT TO BE READY; Thomas: ROCKIN’ JERUSALEM; and Great Hymns in Traditional Forms:  For All the Saints, Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence, Now Thank We All Our God, O God Our Help in Ages Past, O That I Had a Thousand Voices, Abide With Me, At the Name of Jesus, Tell Out My Soul, Love Divine.

3rd Season Opening Concert

The Lynn Swanson Festival Singers will open their 3rd season on November 5th with a program featuring the King O’Sullivan School of Irish Dance. The concert will be held at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church at 7:00 pm, featuring  classics, folks songs, and spirituals.  Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and as always children under the age of 12 years are free. The 40-voice William Baker Festival Singers of Atlanta open its 27th season on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 8:00 pm with a festive performance of classics, folk hymns, and spirituals, including da Victoria: O Quam Gloriosum, da Viadana: Exultate Justi, Pachelbel: Nun Danket alle Gott, and Stanford: Beati Quorum Via, along with American and Hebrew folk songs and African-American spirituals in settings by Dudley Cohen, Alice Parker, William Dawson and Moses Hogan.  Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and as always children under 12 years of age are free.  Tickets may be purchased at the door or here.
