The Cobb Summer Singers is a proud ensemble of the William Baker Choral Foundation, Inc, which was first started in Atlanta in 1990 and now sponsors ten musical ensembles based in three states. These include the original Summer Singers of Atlanta, the William Baker Festival Singers, the Acworth-based Northside Young Singers (directed by Lynn Swanson) and the Lynn Swanson Festival Singers, also directed by Lynn Swanson. With the strength of the Choral Foundation behind us, our Cobb Summer Singers is planning a year of except
ional growth and musical enjoyment.
Join us for our 7th Summer of Singing. Our program for 2012 will feature timeless classic, folk songs, and spirituals. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Marietta, Georgia, beginning June 12th. Concert performances will be Sunday afternoon, August 5th of Beethoven’s MASS in C, along with Summer Singers of Atlanta, and a varied concert of classic works, spirituals and folk songs on Saturday, August 11.
