THE NORTHWEST GEORGIA SUMMER SINGERS is an ensemble of the William Baker Choral Foundation, Inc. which was created in Atlanta in 1990, and now sponsors ten musical ensembles based in three states.  Each year these ensembles involve over 500 men, women and youth in the celebration of great music.

The Summer Singers is a concept that has been so successful that it has been imitated across the nation.  The Choral Foundation sponsors Summer Singers ensembles in Kansas City, Atlanta, Smyrna, GA, Lee’s Summit, MO and Cartersville, GA.

The 2014 Northwest Georgia Summer Singers will perform an exciting diversity of classics by the great masters, works by modern composers, along with folk songs and spirituals, under the leadership of our new conductor, Charles Nelson.  There will be one performance on Saturday, August 2nd. Rehearsals begin Thursday, June 5th.

NO AUDITION is required for membership in the Northwest Georgia Summer Singers, but music reading ability is a must.  Choral experience is highly recommended.  All adults and mature youth are invited to participate.  (Youth under 16 may participate only if a parent or guardian is also a registered member of the Summer Singers.)
