For over 15 years, “Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral” has been synonymous with Christmas in the Heartland of America. The two performances will be Sunday, December 15th at 3 pm (Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Kansas City, MO) and Friday, December 20th at 8 pm (Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, MO. This popular concert of readings, carols and classics has become a tradition for many families. The candlelight splendor of two of America’s loveliest cathedrals provides a perfect setting for the voices of the Festival Singers and for the thrill and majesty of magnificent pipe organs. Please purchase tickets early and please arrive early for the best seats. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and children under 12 are free.
Both of our Atlanta-based Festival Singers join in performing traditional classics and the most beloved carols of the season in two of Atlanta’s most beautiful churches. The performances will be Saturday, December 7th at 7:00 pm (Grace United Methodist Church in Midtown, GA) and Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 pm (St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Smyrna, GA). The gala concert features the uplifted voices of choirs and audiences, along with organ, harp, oboe, cello and flute in a spiritual and tender celebration of the season. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and children under 12 are free.
For 16 years the Kansas City-based William Baker Festival Singers has presented a benefit concert to benefit those homeless and hurting in the Kansas City region. The concert will be Friday, November 22nd, 2013 at 7:30 pm. The venue is Countryside Christian Church, located at 6101 Nall Avenue in Mission, KS. Admission is free, and 100% of free-will donations will benefit Harvesters Community Food Network. Music for the performance include Classical Works by Palestrina and Gretchaninov, Modern Works by Jennings, Schumann and Clausen, and American Folk Hymn and Spiritual Settings by Alice Park and Branden Waddles.
The Northwest Georgia Summer Singers will begin registering singers on March 1, 2014.

The Kansas City-based William Baker Festival Singers performed recently recently in Helzberg Hall and at Trinity Wall Street Church in Lower Manhattan. Ambitious tours have taken the ensemble from Chicago to Atlanta and from New York City to New Orleans.
