The William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City will perform their annual Midwest Home Concert on Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 pm at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students/senior, and as always children under the age of 12 are free.

The William Baker Festival Singers Kansas City & Atlanta Choruses and The Lynn Swanson Festival Singers, along with Organist Heather Paisar, Soloist Joshua Lawlor, and Percussionist Mark Lowry performed Bloch’s Sacred Service at the Community Christian Church in Kansas City on March 4, 2012. The William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City, along with members of William Baker Festival Singers of Atlanta and Lynn Swanson Festival Singers will be performing the Bloch Sacred Service on Sunday, March 4th at 2:00 pm. The concert will be held at Community Christian Church on the Plaza in downtown Kansas City, MO. Tickets are $20 adults, $10 for students and seniors, and children under 12 will be admitted free.

February 5th Concert

The performance, called “The Heart Worships,” begins at 3:00 PM, THIS SUNDAY, February 5, in the nave of the Faith Lutheran Church, 4805 West 67th Street (at Roe Avenue) in Prairie Village, Kansas. The concert will include classical works by Brahms, Bruckner, Holst, di Lasso and Gibbons, modern works by Eric Whiteacre, Morten Lauridsen and Paul Mealor, and beloved American Folk Hymns and rousing African-American Spirituals. Admission is $20 adults; $10 students and senior adults; and children 12 and under are ALWAYS welcome free.

The William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City, under the direction of Dr. William O. Baker, along with Dr. Wayne Smith on organ will host their Annual Candlelight, Carols & Cathedral Concerts on Friday, December 16 at 8:00 pm and on Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 pm. The performances will be held at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral, located at Broadway and 13th Street in downtown Kansas City, MO. 14th Annual Season Opening Concert

The 14th season of William Baker Festival Singers of Kansas City includes our most diverse repertoire ever. The concert on November 19th at 8:00 pm includes works as varied as Johannes Brahams: Schaffe in mir, Gott and selections from Morten Lauridsen: Les Chanson des Roses, along with works by Orlando Gibbons, Orlando di Lasso, Knut Nystedt, and Eric Whitacre. The program also includes the beautiful new setting of Ubi caritas by Paul Mealor, heard at the Royal Wedding of William and Kate. The concert concludes with thrilling spirituals and folk hymns in settings by K.Lee Scott, Alice Parker, James Miller and William Dawson. Admission is $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and as always children under 12 years of age are free. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online.
