William W. Dreyfoos
William W. Dreyfoos is an environmental attorney now living in Atlanta. A graduate of Duke University and the University of North Carolina, for many years, he had a law practice in Charleston, SC specializing in the protection of environmentally fragile properties. He is credited with “saving” 2 rivers, the creation of 3 beach parks, and protecting the integrity of national historical sites in Charleston and throughout the country.
Mr. Dreyfoos has been a choral singer since childhood. He has been both a member and officer of many choral organizations, including the Charleston Symphony Chorus, Washington Choral Arts Society, Duke University Chorale & Chapel Choir, and theWilliam Baker Festival Singers of Atlanta. He was co-producer of the production of the Bloch Sacred Service broadcast on the PBS Great Performance series. His works have been featured at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. This setting of the K’dushah is dedicated to Cantor Deborah Benardot and the choir of The Temple in Atlanta, where Mr. Dreyfoos’ family were founding members in 1867.
