Lynn Swanson, Director

Lynn Swanson is a native of Marietta, Georgia, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She studied organ and conducting with Helmut Melzer, Tom Alderman, Constantina Tsolineau, and Alexander Mickelthwaite. In 1985, Ms. Swanson served as Interim Organist of the West Hunter Street Baptist Church, with Dr. Ralph David Abernathy, Senior Pastor. She has served as Music Director for several Cobb churches, including Due West United Methodist Church and Mars Hill Presbyterian. She has also served as Organist for the Evangelische Kirche in Kronberg, Germany, and Music Director for the Christ the King Anglican Church in Frankfurt, Germany. Ms. Swanson is the Founder and Music Director of the Cobb Summer Singers, the Cobb Festival Singers, and the Northside Young Singers. She is presently Director of Music at St. Benedict Episcopal Church in Vinings.  She is a mother of two, a high school and college student, and makes her home in Kennesaw, Georgia.  To e-mail Lynn:  LSwanson@FestivalSingers.org
