Lynn Swanson, Executive Associate Music Director
Lynn Swanson, Executive Associate Music Director, is a native of Marietta, and has served the community as a leader in the musical arts for over 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She studied organ and conducting with Helmut Melzer, Tom Alderman, William Baker, Constantina Tsolineau, and Alexander Mickelthwaite. She has served as Music Director for several Cobb churches, including Due West United Methodist Church, and Mars Hill Presbyterian. She has also served as Organist for the Evangelische Kirche in Kronberg, Germany, and for Christ the King Anglican Church in Frankfurt, Germany.
She presently serves as Music Director for the St. Benedict Episcopal Church in Smyrna, Georgia. Ms. Swanson is the Founder and Music Director of the Cobb Summer Singers, the Lynn Swanson Festival Singers, and the Northside Young Singers. These Choral Foundation ensembles have experienced tremendous growth since their formation. She also serves as Associate Music Director of the Atlanta-based William Baker Festival Singers.
