Teri Burns, MA, CCC-SLP

Fellow of the Institute for Healthy Singing

Teri Burns, joined the Fellows of The Institute for Healthy Singing & Voice Research in November of 2023. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Teri is a highly qualified professional in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University in Chicago.

Since establishing her practice in Kansas City in 1989, Teri has developed a specialized focus on the assessment and treatment of voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders.

A dedicated advocate for the arts and professional voice care, Teri utilizes her expertise to contribute positively to the community. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, traveling, attending live theatre, MLB games, engaging in DIY projects, and actively volunteering for community organizations.
