Rebekah Ankrom-Baker has performed throughout the United States and Europe on the opera and musical theater stages. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from North Central College and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory. A voice and piano teacher, Ankrom-Baker also loves directing operas and musicals and working with youth and adult choirs.
Trained in pregnancy and postpartum athleticism, Ankrom-Baker specializes in voice work with this population of women. She has various certifications through renowned pelvic health professionals and sports physical therapists in the physical training of pregnant and postpartum women. Ankrom-Baker is privileged to work closely with friend and colleague Addie Holzman, pelvic floor physical therapist, designing research and programming women.
Rebekah Ankrom-Baker is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Kansas in Vocal/Choral Pedagogy through the Music Education/Music Therapy Department and works closely with voice colleagues, speech pathologists, ENTs, Midwives, and otolaryngologists to assist singers in all stages of life. She is working to further pelvic floor health research to support women throughout pregnancy and postpartum in singing and athletics.
Mrs. Ankrom-Baker resides in Texas with her husband and three rambunctious boys. She joined the staff of the Institute for Healthy Singing as a fellow in 2022.
