On February 26, 1985, 21 singers and their ambitious young conductor met for a first rehearsal in the basement of a Norcross church and create what is now The New South Festival Singers. Now under the direction of Music Director Lynn Swanson the Festival Singers is the origonal ensemble of a national arts organization involving hundreds of singers in 12 ensembles across four states, in addition to two educational institutes and one of the largest music libraries in the nation. Dr. William Baker returns to Atlanta to join NSFS and other Choral Foundation ensembles in a gala celebration concert. You will enjoy the Festival Singers sacred a cappella classics and spirituals, along with thrilling mass choir selections.
