The William Baker Festival Singers & Chamber Orchestra join with Organist John Schaefer to perform their annual spring masterworks concert in memory of Kenneth Babcock. The 2021 program includes Gabriel Faure's CANTIQUE DE JEAN RACINE, Ralph Vaughan Williams' LORD, THOU HAST BEEN OUR REFUGE, John Rutter's REQUIEM, and the world premier of Kansas City composer Ed Frazier Davis' setting of John Donne's poem, AT OUR LAST AWAKENING. Music Director William Baker and Choral Intern Megan Moore will conduct.
Tickets are free for the performance, but donations will be requested.
Seating will be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. Masks and social distancing will be required. The William Baker Festival Singers and the Choral Foundation are certified through the Missouri Council for the Arts ArtSafe Certification Program.
