Music Director Andrew Phillip Schmidt and the New South Festival Singers & Friends celebrate Black History Month with a gala performance of spirituals, gospel songs, and works of African-American composers from all eras. Thrilling works include Yonder Come Day by Paul John Rudoni, Hear My Prayer set by Moses Hogan, Keep Your Lamps set by Andre Thomas, All My Trials by Norman Luboff, and Caldwell & Ivory's stunning Hope for Resolution. The annual Black History concerts by the Festival Singers have been popular for many years. Early arrival is recommended to ensure best seats.
