The William Baker Festival Singers open their 25th Anniversary Concert Season in Kansas City with a diverse program of classics and spirituals. Highlights include works by Composer in Residence Sean Sweeden performed by the chorus in their October Arkansas tour. A featured selection is the Kansas City premier of Sweeden's Over the Rainbow. The program includes selections by John Leavitt, Eriks Esenvalds, Rene Clausen, Felix Mendelssohn, Alexandre Gretchaninov, and the Festival Singers signature early American sacred works and spirituals.
The Festival Singers welcome guest artists, Allegro Con Spirito, Alex Piazza, Music Director, joining the chorus in our anniversary celebration. A Wine & Cookie Reception will follow the concert provided by the Choral Foundation Board of Trustees.
