Since its founding in 1998, The William Baker Festival Singers has presented a Thanksgiving Concert for Human Need on the Friday before Thanksgiving Day. Previous beneficiaries have included Music Across Borders, Jerusalem House, Cerebral Palsy of Greater Kansas City, Downtown Outreach, Bethel Neighborhood Center, and many more. For the 2022 concert the Festival Singers will be joined by Kansas City Bronze, under the direction of Gabe Combs. The William Baker Festival Singers will be conducted in this performance by Associate Music Director Christine Freeman. Admission is free, and 100% of all donated funds at the concert will support area human needs charities.
